I like boxing. I can't explain why I gravitate towards Boxing but hate UFC. That being said I like Rocky, I like The Hurricane, I liked The Fighter. I also find some sort of romance in the Irish working class family with 9 kids. Christian Bale truly did deserve the Oscar for this role. I love his seven sisters and laughed out loud when they all piled in the same car to go kick some ass. I also have a soft spot for the early 90s and big trashy hair the sisters had. Amy Adams was exceptional as well. Buy this movie.
The Warrior Code by Dropkick Murphys is about Micky Ward.
Fun facts: Mark Wahlberg had wanted to make a movie about Micky Ward for a long time. They both grew up in the same area and are both the 9th of 9 kids. They even are similar in build.
