- I really enjoy everything I hear from Cage The Elephant. I haven't bought any of their music or really branched out from what is played on the local radio, but I think they're a really good band.
- I have been a long time Social D fan, but never seen them live, even though they come here at least twice a year. I really like Machine Gun Blues. I had a thing for Mobsters when I was in about 4th grade. I must of watched some version of Bonnie and Clyde on TV. I still remember the last scene with their bullet ridden car and dead bodies. I was quick to realize that there was really no point in my obsession with organized crime. On a side note my Grandfather was in merchandising and worked for big Department Stores in Chicago in the late 1950s. I would be told stories about how the Mobster's wives and girlfriends would come in and spend their cash on pricey clothes.
- I think the hands down best song of 2010 is Little Lion Man by Mumford and Sons. That song is amazing.
- I'm happy with what Avenged Sevenfold is still doing. Those are my babies and they have been though a lot this year. I get excited every time Welcome To The Family comes on.
- I once had seats at a My Chemical Romance Concert. I sat there and thought about how amazing Gerard is as an Artist. The backdrop was this fanciful, sorta Tim Burtonesque city scape. I came up with the whole concept for Threnody Spector there. I really like what My Chem does on all fronts. Not to mention local boy does good in the way of Mike Pedicone drumming for them now. I like the video for Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na ).
- I also really like what Bullet For My Valentine is doing. I love Bitter Sweet memories and Your Betrayal off Fever (2010) and the video really made me love Hearts bust into flames even more than I did as a song.
- I like Ke$ha. There I said it. Now you won't respect anything I write in here... I really like Take it Off and when I was a love sick fool I liked You're Love is my Drug.
- Also on the Pop music front I really like La Roux's Bulletproof, but the video wasn't my cup of tea.
- I like P!nk. I like her a lot, but the line "why so serious" in Raise Your Glass really ruins it for me. It takes me out of the party fuck yeah mood and makes me see a still of Heath Ledger sitting in the Police station in Dark Knight.
- Train is another artist I really stand behind. I have friends who hate Train, but I enjoy almost everything they put out. I love Save Me San Francisco and Marry Me ( "you'll wear white and I'll wear out the words I love you." Le Sigh.)
- Lastly, mad props to Taylor Swift. She's beautiful and sings songs that speak to girls. I know people get upset and question how she could of ever been an outsider or not gotten the man she wants, but American Girls love you for what you do.
The song I most wanted to go away was
Lady Antebellum's Need You Now. It just wouldn't die and was on nearly every station!
